cat4er
note that the offshore visas (175,176) are still only till July 10, 2010. Processing of cat 4 will only commence until all cat 3 has been processed this includes onshore and offshore... How sure are you about that? cat4er
well that's what the fine print says... can you give me a link? they say this: Processing of priority group 4 applications can only commence once all applications from priority group 2 and 3 have been allocated for assessment. Onshore and offshore are processed separately. Two possible scenarios: 1. once they finish onshore 3 in Brisbane, they start offshore 3 in Brisbane 2. once they finish onshore 3 in Brisbane, they start onshore 4 in Brisbane I hope I am not wrong - Brisbane is for onshore and Adelaide for offshore at the moment, maybe other way round. If i understand it correctly..... Cat3 will only be processed after Cat2 is completed. As Cat2 is already up-to-date processing, Cat3 will be process from time to time. Slight delay when new Cat2 is submitted...but is Up-To-Date. However, what are the chances Cat3 is process up to date, and then process Cat4? And i believe there is a huge pool of Cat4 applicants too. Mission Impossible, don't you think so? As today standard, there is a 1 year gap. By the way, what are the number of approved Visa from Cat4 for the past 1 year?

Yes brother, You are absolutely right. But note down one thing. They have also processed all the priority 3 offshore 495 and 496 applicants. So they might start processing these categories in priority 4.

Nope I don't have a link, I'm just going by what's written on the DIAC website.. do u have a link stating they will start processing onshore cat 4s once onshore cat 3s are over ? DIAC have stated that they expect to process some cat 4s next financial year. Would be interesting to see when they start processing cat 4s. Btw I think both centers process onshore and offshore applicants...

cat4er
If someone originally applied with SS - state sponsorship, he/she lodged 176. As SMP - state migration plan took place, some of the 176ers did not make it trhu so their application is equivalent to 175 now. So much cr** about having IELTS "at the time of application" while they keep changing conditions under they access one's application all the time! Don't know about 475.
