Guest Fabian
"it's a public holiday in australia - relax" Rubbish! In which state is Queensbirthday on the 6th of June ? In no state in Australia. We are not New Zealand where they actually celebrate on the 6th. Its celebrated on the 13th in every state/territory except WA where they celebrate it on the 28th of October. I'm stuck with an iPhone I'm afraid. I was going to post the link but thought if I posted the dates everyone can see them clearly and help with public holiday confusion in Australia. cjdrum
I didn't know at the time of my first post that the public holiday was limited only to WA. I was however somewhat taken aback by being shouted down by certain other posters. The time will go much quicker and more pleasantly if everyone is a bit nicer to each other. I made that mistake a while ago thinking public holidays were across the board in OZ but each state varies. An easy mistake to make.

cat4er
based on how i would compute it, they should have allocated those until June 2010or roughly 3 months worth. 5/02/2011 0 314 314 19/02/2011 104 151 255 5/03/2011 0 24 24 19/03/2011 35 55 90 1/04/2011 44 53 97 15/04/2011 91 36 127 6/05/2011 82 0 82 23/05/2011 84 15 99 This is my chart. Second column is 175/6, third is 885/6 Cat 3, last is combined days of shortening the queue. Yes I agree 3 months a forthnigt, and the queue is currently about 14 months for 175 and 5 for 885. So this is 19 months divided by 3 months = about 6 forthnights. So August 2011 Cat 3 should be done the latest.

I was wondering if there is anyone else outhere with WA SS that has lodged their visa prior to the above date and not heard anything? Our 176 was lodged on 19th April 2011 we received acknowledgement 10th May and have heard nothing since. We are using an agent so unable to contact DIAC ourselves as the agents act on our behalf. I am getting really frustrated with it all as we have been waiting almost 2 years due to the changes that occured last year and i was really hoping to be out there by sep/oct this year as my eldest child starts high school. Im not sure if im being hasty but i really thought due to current processing time we would have heard something by now. Sorry for rambling on but if there is anyone in the same situation it would be nice to hear from you !!!!!
