Luggage allowance on validation trip?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Has anyone got the 40kgs luggage allowance from Singapore Airlines on a validation trip as opposed to a one way trip. I have emailed them but have no reply so far.

Singapore will give you extra baggage if your visa is PR, not validated and your ticket is one way

I just want PIO to be a happy place where people are nice to each other and unicorns poop rainbows

Hi. the visa is PR CPV 143, it's not validated but is part of a 1 week validation trip as house in UK not yet sold.

Maybe I don't show the return tickets at check-in.

Out of interest, does anyone know how the Airlines pick up if a Visa has been validated. Does it get stamped when you enter Aus for the first time and therefore visable?

Correct.. but that would imply they have to look for an entry stamp pre visa validation date and that it's not stamped on the actual visa or an electronic system shared by airlines

Your visa status is visible to the airlines, via the check-in computer. Singapore Air will give you the 40kgs allowance on a return trip - providing it is your validiation entry.
