Category 4 How can we possibly get processed?

Hi

We are Family 176 Sponsored Visa. Lodged on the 30-06-2011, just before rule changes phew! My occupation is on the SOL (Registered Nurse). From reading all the entries it could be a long wait. What is the difference between a cat 4 and a priority cat 4?

The latest on DIAC is 18 Months cannot see this being any sooner based on previous statements!

We lodged our family 176 visa via an agent on the 30-06-2011. My wife is the main visa applicant being a registered nurse. Should have been a sponsored bit ran out of time as we had to have our application submitted before the rule changes on 01-07-2011.

We also were informed of an 18month process time.

Looking at the cat 4 processing time as advised by DIAC they seem to be processing cases at a rate of 2 months progress for every 1 month. Therefore they are currently at Aug-10 therefore assuming they continue at the same rate we should have at least a case officer by Dec-11

What does everybody think?
