I applied for my partner visa onshore in Melbourne a few weeks ago and tonight I have found a note saying I have a registered letter waiting to be picked up. Do you think this could be the letter??? Or could it just be them requesting further info?? Im trying not to get excited but I cant think of anything else that it would be. Nobody really has my address apart from the immigration people!! If you said by letter then it could be but if chose by email then you will get an email and it will be put on your passport electronicaly! I'm just guessing that as it was such a straight forward application they were able to process it quicker. I sent my paper application to perth immigration office on 8th april, they received my application on 11th april, and granted my visa on 13th april. I came to know today when i called immigration department to know about my acknowledgement letter. They are so quick, i can't believe it, i got within 5 days.
