medicals referred cos I'm a nurse?

Recommended Posts

Hi

Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times, but why are medicals referred? Mine has been, but OH has been finalised. Neither of us have any illnesses, but as a nurse I had to have hep B and c blood tests, so wondering if nurses routinely have medicals referred? I know results are okay as medical centre said they would contact us by last friday if any blood tests were positive (not sure why I spent friday panicking the phone would ring!) Any help thanks, am currently on night shift which means I get a chance to check on line a lot overnight, which is baaad for my health! :wideeyed:

If you never had been ill, I'd say just relax. It is part of routine process wherein medicals are referred in case they find any discrepancy with the reports and a layman is not able to comprehend the same.

The visa grant itself isn't far off. Hang in there!!

I have not noticed a pattern of nurses' medicals being referred before. But loads do get referred and if you have no known health issues the chances of this meaning anything are remote.

Dont worry mine got referred and i had no health problems, its just what happens. Ive got my visa now so honestly its nothing to worry about. It took about 10 days to finalise.

Best of luck

Annette
