just like to know what are your living arrangements?

also anyone who can shed some light on the living arrangement after landing like where to go from the airport

 

Bro, try searching accommodation before you land there via online sites. if you have some friends there you might seek their help.

or you can go there and stay some hotel for (5-10 days) and findout a place but that would not be very much economical option.

Visa Application Charge Increases 1st September, 2013

 

News just coming in that there will be an increase in many visa application charges as of the 1st September 2013!

As an example the Skilled Independent basic charge will increase from $3060 to $3520.

 

Primary Applicant $3,520

Secondary Applicant >18 $1,760

Secondary Applicant <18 $880

Bro the link I pasted is about "planned" changes in visa fees from September 1, 2013. These changes have not been applied yet, of course. The table you pasted shows the current applicable visa fees.

 

Purpose of news is to make new applicants aware of possible upcoming changes so that they can plan their applications accordingly.

My PCC is under process. It may take 1-2 weeks to be submitted. Then another week for grant.

 

Should i resign from my current job or wait for the grant?

 

I have to provide sufficient notice period (at least 1 month) to my employer. Then I will be back to Pakistan to spend some time with my parents (haven't been there since 2010).

 

What do you think guys, should i submit my resignation now or wait for visa first?

It is totally ur personnel decision..but as a professional I would recommend to wait for grant email plz..as soo as it comes you should resign...atleast you would have a strong reason to resign at that time...you would still have 7 months to meet ur parents and family..Best of luck for ur grant

Wait for the grant - your visa has not arrived yet.

I am crashing with my friend who is already there..

Will be looking for my own place.. hopefully within a week..

I would wait for the grant. What`s one month compared to the time you`ve been waiting until now? Also, you`ll need to maintain good relationship with your employer, you never know - might need references in the future etc. Good luck.
