I have applied for my new born daughters passport in Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi on 17th February and I paid for urgent processing (usually it takes 7 days for urgent) till today passport is not ready and the Embassy officials are saying that passport books are short in Pakistan and there is a backlog of around 900,000/- applicants all around the world. so getting the passport in 4 months will be a luxury and ppl who applied normal it may take more time. :ssign2:

 

Now my case is like this that once I submitt the passport of my daughter Insha Allah I will receive grant...

 

Do somebody have what we call "Pawwa" or influence or wasta to process the passport as I come to know that only ppl with "Pawwa" are getting their passports done???

 

Anybody have any solutions to that... unfotunately things are getting worse in every department in Pakistan..

Bro, yes situation is very worse , one of my acquaintance applied for urgent passport on 28th Jan but still waiting and have no timelines. These are last days of this govt so may be they are collecting more money before leaving, who knows :laugh:

Oh sad to hear that. 175 and 176 backlog, security checks backlog, medical backlog and now passport backlog. Backlog seems to be buzz word in the market these days. :smile:

I am really sad to know that brother. Our overseas compatriots, esp those who are plodding in dreary environment of ME, deserve special attention and care and instead they are being treated little better than asylum-seekers. Such poignant incidents are only going to worsen the professional brain drain from our country.

Yes, this is the situation, my passport has also expired and the height of the matter is that they are charging for urgent passport and saying they don't know when it will be delivered or it will take easily 60 days or even more.

 

It is pathetic indeed. My wife's PP is expiring in October and I am going to apply now for the renewal. Good that after this renewal we will not have to worry about the renewals for good 10 years or even forever.

As a number of members of forum family have expressed their stark disapproval of the protracted processing delays, they can always explore this option which is one of the fastest ways to obtain Oz PR.

 

 

Let me reproduce the visa requirements here: To qualify for the recently introduced Business Innovation and Investment Visa, prospective applicants must place A$5 million or more (US$5.15 million) into “complying investments” in return for provisional permanent residence.

On a more serious note, I want them to become conscious of the fact that they are getting something which is worth at least A$5 million. Thus, they should simply relax and count their blessings instead of bemoaning the slow processing pace.

Dear Ash,

 

You should inform your CO that your wife is pregnant and also tell CO about expected delivery date.

Just send the CO the email about this as you need to fill the form 1022 once the baby has been born (no 1022 as the baby is not born yet so no changes yet).

 

Try to prepare the birth certificate and passport as soon as possible after the birth of the child and forward it to CO along with form 1022 so that the CO will include the new born in your application.

 

You can wait for informing your CO as if you got the grant before the birth of your baby you can go to OZ and baby can be delivered there and baby will be getting the OZ passport from the day one but if you the expected delivery date is very near and you are not sure about the visa grant than better to inform CO now.

My input is to contact your CO and inform. The gap in the above recommendation is that your wife should not and cannot get an X-ray while she is pregnant. You should check with your doctor, as X-ray is required for medicals... Cheers

Thanks Cal! We have already done the MEDs (Sep-2012). Now it is either we get the grant soon and then my wife can give birth in Australia, or, if no grant until the birth time, we have to undergo MEDs again as it will be expired until then (around Sep-2013) - I guess..

Today i received email from The FIRM that my lawyer has changed again. i need to know can i contact my CO directly just to give my PCC before the deadline? Remaining documents i have sent to mylawyer before and she has acknowledged all of them.

No they are changing lawyers but work well on things many friend of mine went through them just that i want to know will it affect bad on my application if i send him documents directly? Secondly ehealth restriction for my KIDS is another problem. How i can get it removed?
