Peach
We just booked our flights yesterday with IOM and got 40kgs each with qantas. We are going from Ireland to Melbourne, so the Aer Lingus flight to Heathrow is included in that. We were granted PR in Sep 2009 and activated our visa in Mar 2010. They didn't even ask if we'd already been, just wanted our visa numbers. We're 175 though, so maybe that makes a difference. The IOM flights tend to be a lot more expensive than booking with Qantas direct - so you indirectly end up paying for the excess baggage. You may have got lucky though
Guest MontyClaude
Hey Peach, think you're right! We could have gone with Singapore for about €650 each, think we paid just over €700 with IOM and qantas. We probably didn't need the extra luggage as we're sending a container anyway. We got return with Malaysian airlines last year for just over €1000 for the two of us! Glad to have the flights booked though, either way
