jimcz 10 Posted February 16, 2011 It's really embarrassing but I'm confused how to answer the first question on the form 80. "Am I applying for a visa to travel to Australia as a": Migrant or "I'm applying in Australia for": Permanent residence. Both of them seem to be right to me. It's probably just a problem with my English but could somebody elaborate on what they actually mean?

The second option applies for those who have got a visa in Australia and would like to obtain permanent resident Regards Reza & Zahra,EA Assessment 21 APR 10,SS 18 Aug 10,176 lodged 01 Sep 2010, Co 15 Dec 2010, PCC and Meds call 11 OCT 2011, Visa Granted 07 Nov 2011, Aussie Citizen 19-Sep-2016:arghh:

RockDr 1,177 Posted February 17, 2011 The first one is to travel to australia, i.e. the applicant is outside australia. The second one is for people already in australia on a temporary visa, who are applying for PR.
