Guest HavenMarra
Great news - congrats Lexi - when did you apply and how did you find out?
Lexi
Sorry guys, my timeline is: Date of nomination - 4/1/11 458 Applicartion Processing commenced - 13/1/11 Nomination Granted - 14/2/11 Additional Info Requested - 14/2/11 Additional Info Received - 1/3/11 Visa Granted - 1/3/11 I checked on imm.gov this morning and it said underneath all of our names applicant approved. I checked the entitlement and it said visa start date 1/3/11. I rang the embassy because I had not received an email to confirm (yes I paid 1 million pound a second on that telephone number haha) and they did confirm it was granted. I received 3 emails tonight saying that each of visas had been granted. The message on immi said I had to go to the nearest embassy to get a label for our passporst but when I spoke to the embassy they said this was an old message and that all I had to do was print the emails out and travel with them. Good luck, any more questions ask away

RockDr
no it seems to be purely occupational, or if you've listed a pre-existing condition on the application forms. It's basically to make sure you're not going to be spreading illness around the hospitals.
Lexi
I hope so too kbo, good luck everyone, might see you in Oz.

It's basically to make sure you're not going to be spreading illness around the hospitals. I work in the medical world, but I don't have patient contact on a daily basis. I go into theatres occasionally. I was totally expecting to be asked to attend a medical and was very honest on my e457 application, but my visa got approved without even a tiny sniff of extra information asked for, let alone a medical... Weird. Jonny

I'm a nurse and had to have a full medical and xray. Just I had to do meds cos I'll be working in the hospital. There are 4 of us but 1 just doing meds. Guest cazbob
Lodged and paid for e457 but trying to upload documents and it's giving me this error message: The following errors have been encountered: Unable to provide further processing details at this time as the link to the application processing system is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. I know i can submit them later and if all else fails email them but it's bloody annoying! EDITED: Docs all uploaded now, i can rest easy and commence waiting.... again! carsnhoj
Hi All, we are now joining the waiting game for a 457 visa. OH signed employment contract this morning, and sent off forms to immigration agent in Perth. Not looking forward to the wait now... already finding that we don't know what to do with ourselves. steen1976
We've had an email from employer in Sydney this morning just letting us know that they have checked the status of our nomination on the website and it says it is in process. Now I thought they had submitted a paper based application but to be able to check it online must mean it's been submitted online I assume? If so then they should be able to supply is with the reference number and that would allow us to begin the e457 application regardless that the nomination is still processing? Is that right? You need one of the following to submit your e457 Nomination Saved Application ID Nomination Application Transaction Reference Number (TRN) Nomination Approval Number Now... As they've already submitted the nomination you won't have the 1st one, if they have done it online they will have a TRN and you can then submit as soon as you want. If they sent it by post then you will have to wait until the nomination is approved to get their third number! so get emailing and see if they have a TRN!!
