Guest bcfrug
Hi All, Jus trying to establish are there many Irish people here heading for Perth. Thought is would be a good idea to get a thread going for us all. We are a family of 3 hoping to hit Perth late 2011 or Jan 2012. (Age 30/Age 29/Daughter Age 4) Was wondering if there are many others from Ireland in the same boat and was wondering if there is enough of us to arrange a big group meet up somewhere over the next while. Anyway include your details and chat soon. Cheers:biggrin:

Guest jw00
Hi Sarah, Myself, my husband and two kiddies ages 5 and 7 are planning on migrating to perth. My husband qualifies for a skilled visa however he may have a job offer which would be great. we are in the very early stages but yes, we will be trying to rent our house for the first two years at least. For that same reason as you but it will also serve as a bit of a security blanket for me...im a bit of a home bird. Do you think you will get someone to rent your house? Im not so sure because we live in the a**se hole of nowwhere but we will see. Just waiting to see what happens with the job offer before we apply for the skilled visa. Best of luck with it all anyway:) Julie

Guest The Ropey HOFF
Best of luck everyone i hear unrmployment in Perth is only 4.6% which is very low, especially compared to Ireland, someone said it is more than three times that and hopefully you will all be lucky on the jobs front when you get there. windswept
Welcome to the new posters! Perth's unemployment is very low at the moment, and there's plenty of options around, including part time work - great if you're a mum with school aged kids and looking to earn a bit extra!
