Guest TheGarrisons
Hi, we havesorted out our medicare cards and now we are regerstering at our local medical centre in Qld. Was wondering if anyone knows how they get your previos records? Is it all electronic? Do I only need to give our english doctors address in? And how long does it take? Quoll
They dont bother. Unless you have had some serious intervention in the past - in which case you would have been wise to have brought copies of essential documents with you - there is no need and they will just start all over again. Rudi
Yep, I agree. They don't usually bother with previous records from the UK. People who have had serious condition previously, or ongoing conditions might bring their records with them, but other than that it's not necessary. You don't even need to register with a doctor usually. You just call and make an appointment. Love Rudi x
