Hi All...:wubclub:

We were granted our visas back in March & have to validate/enter by this March!

We have just (3 wks ago) had a new baby & now I have to urgently get her a visa...Has anyone had any experience of this situation?

I thought I could just 'add her to our visa'....But have since found out I cant!

I have been running another thread similair to this ~ but am trying to catch some 'fresh eyes & comments'

Could you contact DIAC and ask them for an extension on your entry date? I don't know if this is possible or not but they may look favourably on your situation?

I remember you posting on your other thread that a child visa can take 5/6 months at the moment to process so it could be worth a try.

BTW, congrats on the baby, ours is due on 27th Jan but we don't have our visa yet so we are adding to our visa when born so can't offer much more advice i'm afraid.

Hope someone can give you the answers you are after soon.

Regards

Claire

Hi Kelly

Big Congratulations on the birth of your daughter :jiggy:

Sorry to be of little help whatsoever other than another bump... have you tried contacting your old CO and asking them what you should do?

March is not that far away but I am sure you will sort it in time.

congratulation!

contact DIAC and tell them your circumstance, you should be able to get your daughter visa/or a way to pass this.

my story is different.

I have TR granted before, and am currently applying PR.

I had my son in Sept 2010, added him in the PR application, after few days, at the same time, I got the acknowledgement letter from DIAC about adding him in PR application, also another TR visa granted letter from DIAC for him.

Congrats Kelly - I didn't even know you were pregnant!!

Can the baby go on a holiday visa whilst her application is being processed - I thought you could get them for up to a year on an extended application.

We go in February for good - our house sale is in the final stages, the shippers are in on 10th + 11th Jan and I finish work on 28th Jan. Keep in touch and let us know when you are over to validate.

When we got married after we lodged, we just had to enter a change of circumstance form to be added to our file. When we went down to validate, we had to travel with the original visas and carry the marriage certificate with us. The immigration officer at the desk sorted it all out there and then as the change of circumstance form was on the computer file waiting. Maybe you need to try a similar route for the baby.

hi Kelly congratulations

We had our visa granted just before Christmas and have to validate before April 11. I am due my baby in 15 days, so our CO took away that visa grant advised us to get passport, have medical for new baby send docs them he will grant again but still have to be in Oz by April 2011. Scary him taking it back but we have it in writing. Saves us reapplying for a chils visa though .

If you contact DIAC could suggest this????

Goood luck keep in touch x

12 months subclass 676 for the child and keep cocky out of his cage for the time being.
