B1K3R Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 I am not sure if it's the same in the UK, but... My car insurance company wrote me a nice No Claim Bonus (65%) letter, which I can take with me to OZ and continue to benefit from the bonus when I'll do a new car insurance in OZ... Though it might interest you... Cheers B!K3R
PontePom Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 We did the same but we've never been asked for it just got the full discount after telling the insurers we had it. Howard
gaz n family Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Cheers, i wouldnt have thought it would be taken into account (i assumed), but hey, thanks for the heads up.
fleabo Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 We did the same but we've never been asked for it just got the full discount after telling the insurers we had it. Howard Our insurer (Virgin) requested a copy of mine, though Toyota Insurance didn't for our other car. I would hang on to the letter just in case you have a claim and they ask to see proof. As an aside, Virgin told me that the letter is only honoured in the first 12 months, after which you would be expected to start your no-claims rating from scratch if you have not already established your claim to a discount (if that makes sense). Happy New Year.

Guest Guest31881 Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 We were just asked how long been driving and had we been involved in any accidents, then given 5 yrs no claims straight away.

But if you had an accident and they found out you had lied I doub't you would be paid out. (not suggesting you lied BTW)
