Wife has 3 yrs experience as a deputy manager in a retail store and has a degree in Business Administration. A agent has said that we may qualify for a 175 visa but having done some research myself I have found that its not listed under sch 3 skills list.

1) So not sure we could apply under 175 now?

2) is the agent leading me on? it is mira reg in London.

Someone said check sch 4 sol list to see if coporate manager/General manager is listed, it is.

3) Would we would have to apply under the 176 visa for state sponsorship.

4) How do I find out which state is sponsoring coporate manager/General manager?

5) Im not sure if our occupation would qualify under the above heading, so i have listed her tasks/duties below please advise whether you think her occupation would be classed under coporate manager/General manager?

Handling a team of 25 people in a known reail store in the UK.

_Managing and singing off the safe and legal log books.

_Dealing with customer’s quires and complaints.

_Making every day Rota.

_Managing promotion changes in the store.

_Doing team meetings

_Conducting live conference calls to 16 stores nearly everyday

_Given on going training to different staff members on regular basis.

_Handling pay coding of department.

_Managing all the over time Shifts.

_Delighting health and safety people in or around the stores.

_Managing all the paper works related to department handling.

_Responsible for all the sales, waste and shrink related to department.

_Doing stock maintenance.

_ Doing attendance review, welcome back meetings and disciplinary meeting.

_Attending all the quires on call related to department.

_Supporting manager as a duty manger once in the week.

_Handling on going official visits (Fire officer, health officer)

I think you asked this last week.

As the occupation is not on Sch 3 it is definitely not eligible for 175 visa.

You need to go to the individual state sites and look at their sponsorship lists. Do them one at a time, google "western Australia state sponsorship" or some such thing. Nobody is going to have memorised all the lists.

Having said that I personally think there is little to no chance that your OH is going to get a positive skills assessment for a Corporate General Manager. This position is reserved for very senior executives and deputy manager in retail simply is not that. Here is a description, it does not sound like what your OH does.

1220.0 - ANZSCO - Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations, First Edition, 2006

How about yourself? Is it possible your skills / occupation can be used?
