Yes, yes, I know it's bloody early, but I am buggering off until New Year's Day. Spending some time will an old mate who has recently come back from OZ.

I will have access to my iphone, but in all honesty at my age and my eyesight I have enough problems with a lap top, let alone a phone. So I 'may' be able to have a browse, but posting I don't think so.

Enough said. Whatever the new year brings you all, good luck with it all. I hope all your plans and aspirations come true, if not, keep trying you will get there. I have a huge year coming up and I only hope a little of my optimism about the new year can rub off on you.

I'll speak fairly soon, but for now friends, romans, countryman, good luck, enjoy your celebrations, and long live hope, love and compassion.

Cheers Tony.:wink::notworthy::notworthy::hug:

We are having friends over to stay for New Year. Quiet dinner, chill out sitting outside listening to music and drinking good wine.......Noone has to drive!

Then we get brekky together on NYD morning and then out for coffee in the arvo!

Happy New year everyone. May 2011 bring you all you wish for!

As you can see from the quoted post I was meant to be going away with Ruth this new year, but unfortunately things have taken a turn for the worse.

My nearly 18 year old daughter found out two nights ago that her 'boyfriend' is seeing someone else,:policeman::mad:.

So it's all hands to the pump this new year trying to get her threw it and letting her know we are here for her. I have promised Ruth that I won't go around and 'discuss' the issue with the young man, though very tempting it is.:embarrassed:

Suffice to say Happy New Year again to you ALL, enjoy love and be happy if possible. I think the plan this end is to get my eldest drunk:shocked: so she doesn't remember the new year and what a complete dick the fella is.

Enjoy all.

Cheers Tony.

Aww, Tony

Sorry to hear that. Hope your daughter is ok. Sure she'll get through it with the support of you all. Sounds like you will be supplying her with lots of alcho pops tonight.:laugh:. Seriously though, hope she is ok Tony.

Well my NYE has taken a turn for the worst too. The plan was to cook a nice meal for my parents, but my dad woke up with raging toothache, the poor thing, so dinner is off . I've fed him some painkillers but no chance of an emergency dentists appointment today.

I always knew NYE carried too much pressure to enjoy yourself!

Thanks Fiona and Kat.

What really gets me is the fact that within TEN minutes of the 'Break Up', he announced on Facebook that they had split and he never really loved her anyway, AND he went and told the world about his new love.

I'm a bloke myself, and have done some pretty daft things in the past, but never anything like that. Is my rage showing yet,:embarrassed:.

Still, clichés apart, he was obviously a knob, (even when he lived with us for three months because he had a sh7te home life, which it wasn't by the way, just a free loader) and she will find her soul mate soon enough.

Cheers Tony.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE !!!!!!!!

Looks like mine may be a bit different from planned too, as my OH was taken into hospital yesterday with kidney stones, so probably a night by his side supping tea in a ward.... oh well cant be helped bless him.

Hopefully we will all be celebrating on a different level soon, when we all get our visas granted in the new year.. ( well we gotta have hope )

Good luck to you all, and heres hoping 2011 will be a bumper year for visa grants.

Sounds like she has had a lucky escape, even if it doesn't feel that way yet. From his behaviour I suspect he may find it a lonely 2010 while your daughter moves onto better things.... oh to be a sassy and single 18 year old again :cute:

Happy new year to you and your family
