Guest ashlondongal Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Hiya.. Merry Xmas and a very happy new year to all!! I have a query and I hope to get it sorted. Just a brief background.Me n hubby both have Aussie PR and validated aswell :jiggy:. We now have a 3 mnths old daughter and another daugther who is 13 yrs( we just got her court order, thats a very good news indeed :jiggy:). when we applied for PR in 2008,it was me who was the primary application as my skills were fetching 60 pts and was on MODL too.Presently, I am on maternity leave and dont indend to work for another 4 mnths & we want to apply for both girls. Here goes mah queries !! 1. Can my OH be sponsoring the kids, doest it effect the case that me being primary applicant and oh was not? 2. Is AFP required for Child visa( we have not lived in OZ for more than 12 months, we have just validated our PR). 3.I hope both gals can be included in one application with one fee( may be 2 different forms). is my understanding correct?:wideeyed: Hope to get replies soon. Cheers D
Fashionably Late Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 We were advised to contact a migration agent given our circumstances of my daughter from a previous marriage. I am very thankful we did as our agent navigated very murky waters of taking her to Australia.

I am very thankful we did as our agent navigated very murky waters of taking her to Australia. My situation is almost the same...But my query is different. I am the primary appliacnt , we got the PR in last year and me & OH both validated PR. Now, can my OH be sponsoring the kids? We have all the docs and we wish to apply on our own.. its quite stright forward case so no need to use a Mig agent.
Fashionably Late Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 It might seem straight forward but DIAC made sure mine wasn't. I had every legal right, court orders from two countries and they still have made it hell to take my daughter with me.

But How can agent's help in that. We know our situation better right?.:biggrin:btw did u get ur PR? Anyways, I still dint get answer of Can My OH sponsor the Kids...:confused:
Pumpkin Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I believe that the main applicant should sponsor the kids, I have seen somebody asked to provide the forms again with the main applicant as the sponsor. Why do you want your OH to sponsor them, there is no advantage to that, you not wokring now is irrelevant, most of us with skilled migrant visas go to Australia without work. The children will need separate forms, but you will only have to pay one fee. Good luck.

I would sponsor the kids now.Yeah, My main worry was that I 'm not working at present, if that's not an issue in sponsoring the kids I have no problems in that. And, Is it that we need to provide AFP for sponsoring child?. We have not lived in OZ for more than 12 months though. Thanks indeed.
_shel Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 You dont need to do the AFP if you've not lived in Aus but you will both need a ACPO certificate.

Thanks :notworthy: & Congo for your baby visa. Are ACPO certs from the UK? and is it that Me & OH both has to provide ACPO cert? .. Thanks very much.
_shel Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 They are, same ones you would have got to apply for your visa. ACPO: Police Certificates
Guest ashlondongal Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Thanks for the info.I completely forgot the fact that we did the same ACPO stuff for visa.It just felt like A for Australia LOL.. Another quick query shel, does my baby (she is 3 mnths old) needs meds and also does my 13 yrs girl needs to do meds again?( she has already done during our PR application).
Pumpkin Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Yes the baby will need medicals. When did the older girl do her medicals? If more than a year ago she will need to do them again. Also note that the validation date of the visa will be based on medicals, so if she did them say ten months ago, she will only get a couple of months in which to validate her visa.

Its almost more than a year back. She will have re-do her meds. And, ofcourse the lil baby has to undergo fresh meds. I guess, No xrays and blood for lil baby and no blood for older girl :cute:
Guest ashlondongal Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 And another question in my little mind...:daydreaming: Can we take the kids on 'Visitor visa' while their Child visa application is still in 'Process'. Has Anyone gone through this kindof situation?...I had seen a thread on this topic, I tried searching for that , but dint find it. Can I be helped on this..
