Guest bappies7 Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Hi, l have been working as an engineer in this company for 8 yrs with a diploma in mechanical engineering, and halfway through my career l took up part-time studies and have graduate with a mechanical engineering degree from University of South Australia in April 2010. Does this allow me to have post-qualification experience based on the mechanical engineering degree? Please kindly advise me. Thank you..
Guest The Pom Queen Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Hi and welcome to PIO, unfortunately I am unsure of the answer to your question but hopefully someone will be along soon who can help. Kate
Guest stayer Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 You know where to get help if moving ro Melbourne, so what else do you want? Regarding your question. If you are claiming post qualification experience, then it is from the date you graduated. And it depends on visa you want. For sponsorship subsitution is possible, but for 885, I think you have to have a degree. Sometimes they say you must have minimal qualification, but that one has to be at the same level. If your diploma is giving you same points as the degree, then you can claim the work experience before you graduated.
