Security check for HR Countries (IRAN) - Cat 2

I was wondering if any body could give me some ideas regarding security checks and its estimated time line for HR countries such as IRAN and Pakistan, and whether being included in cat2 affects or speeds up the progress of security check or not :eek:

There is no Time frame, according to my research. security checks can take 2 -10 months depending upon various circumstances with respect to your FORM80.

CAT-2 does not mean they will exempt us from Security checks.

only advantage in my opinion is that CO can do a QUICK FOLLOW UP with security agencies. may be i am wrong.

As you are Sep. 01 applicant, so keep one thing in mind. DIAC still have 8 months in bag for you. (estimated Time for CAT-2 Visa Grant is 12 Months from the date of lodgment)

I know some of Pakistani applicants who r waiting for the security check finalization since last 9 or 10 Months . and some of them are CAT-2 now.

 

so only thing is WAIT, Wait and WAITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTt
