Guest destinationoz Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Is anyone able to advise? If I earned $60k - how much in dollars - roughly - would I take home per month? I don't know what they deduct!! So - equally, how much dollars would I get paid if I earned $80k? Thanks lots!
Guest destinationoz Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 There must be people earning salaries out there!! See above!! Please can someone help? I just can't work it out as don't know what to deduct eg tax ? Pension? National insurance? Thanks lots!!
Guest Toorak Trev Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Australian Taxation Office Homepage (refer to this site for personal tax rates - calculate then on what ever income you are looking for and you will have your net) Also remember to specifiy if your figures are weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual. Pension = super (compulsory 9% is paid by your employer on top of your gross, when discussing pay ensure you clarify is it pre or post super) NI = Medicare (you would need to be earning significantly more than $100k to be concerned and if you obtain private health insurance it is waived).

Guest guest17301 Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Depends on tax rate but about $2k a fortnight on 60k a year and that is very approximate.
