Guest augmentine Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Hi ALL, MY QUESTION IS REGARDING 457 SPONSORSHIP.WHILE APPLYING FOR THE VISA ON-LINE, DO I NEED HAVE THE MEDICAL AND INSURANCE IN ADVANCE OR IS IT NEEDED AT A LATER STAGE WHEN THEY ASK FOR THAT.DO I NEED TO CONTINUE WITH THE SAME INSURER AFTER REACHING THERE. DO I NEED TO CERTIFY ALL THE DOCUMENTS. PLEASE HELP THANKS
Pumpkin Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 You might not even need a medical, so I would wait until asked for that. The insurance needs to be in place before the visa is granted, but you might as well leave it for as long as possible and no you do no need to stay with the same insurer once you arrive in Australia. by the way, your caps lock key seems to be stuck into the on position. Some people think this is very bad mannered as it equates to shouting in the online world, so you might want to sort that out.
Guest augmentine Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 thanks for your reply.sorry for c lock.i will never use it again.
redrobbersdog Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Hi we had to have medical insurance as a condition of our 457 visa. We have just arrived in perth and although we have the insurance in place we were asked no questions at the airport about the visa or medical insurance. We also were never asked for any medical examinations for our visa being granted! Hope this helps. Good luck. X
graeme78 Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 Hi there and Merry Christmas to you. We have just had our 457 granted also, we were not askedfor a medical as we are not from a high risk country or working in neither a class room or medical environment. We had to show our medical insurance was in place, we used www.hba.com.au. The will provide a letter for your visa confirming it is all arranged. Good luck
