Killie Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Hi there i found that on my visa application form(online)475 SS "Only past employment in occupations on the Skilled Occupations List (SOL) is relevant." What does it mean cos on the scroll down menu was all occupations from all 4 SOL'S not just from one SOL, HELP PLEASE :err::err::err::err::err::err::err::err::mask::mask::mask::mask:
Guest AustrAnglian Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Hi Killie, no-one else has come forward yet to help on this one so I'll take a stab at it - note that my own application is a 176 so I'm less familiar with 475's. Isn't it the case that the experience has to be relevant to your nominated occupation and not any occupation on the SOL? I think this is better explained on the DIAC web page below: Skilled – Sponsored (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 176) Note: If you are nominating a specified trade occupation, your recent work experience must be in your nominated occupation. Other work experience in an occupation listed on the Skilled Occupation List (SOL) will not be considered. When most of us refer to "the SOL" we're talking about schedule 3 but SOL actually means all 4 schedules depending on which one is applicable to your circumstances and visa application. If you are applying now and have NSW SS then Schedule 4 (State SOL) is probably your correct version of the SOL, but it makes sense that the online forms have more than one SOL list (at least schedules 2, 3 and 4). Skilled Occupation Lists (Formerly Known as Form 1121i) All the best with your application.
Killie Posted December 23, 2010 Author Posted December 23, 2010 welcome my nominated occupation(welfare centre manager) is on every SOl,but i found my recent exp. just on sol4(disabilities services officer) , i applied for 475 month ago before nsw SMP was released and do not know how it affect my visa apo. ???????????? aby thoughts
Guest AustrAnglian Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 NSW SMP has not yet been released. I am also waiting for it to be published. When you see a date next to NSW on the following DIAC website then this will signal that NSW SMP has been officially released: State Migration Plans NSW will then release details on their own website with the SMP list: What's new - Industry & Investment NSW: Business in NSW We will only know if our occupations are on the SMP once this happens. Some other posters have contacted NSW and have been told the SMP will be signed off and published early in 2011. At the moment if your occupation is on SOL4 then your visa application is priority 4, which will only be processed once all priority 1-3 applications are completed. If your occupation is on the SMP when it is published then you will move to priority 2 and your visa will be processed much quicker - probably less than a year.
Killie Posted December 23, 2010 Author Posted December 23, 2010 right, but my nominated occupation it is not a trade occuaption  , then it looks like they will consider any one , but from which list or maybe they treat SOL3 and SOL4 as a whole? What do you think?
Guest AustrAnglian Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 NSW SMP will be a list of all occupations the State wishes to prioritise from SOL4. SOL4 is the State SOL. I believe SOL3 occupations are just another subset of SOL4. SOL3 is effectively the Federal SMP (applicable to non-State Sponsored applications).
