gridlock1981 Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 I am starting a new job on a sponsored 457 Visa in Sydney in the new year. Since launching my application I have started a new relationship with a girl over here in the UK. She also wants to come to Sydney but is only qualified to GCSE level. Just wondering what the best route would be? She currently works as a beauty therapist, is aged 24 and healthy! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks She could get a WHV which will do for 12 months. I don't believe you are going to be able to add her to your 457 visa, although it is not a strict as a PR visa, it still sounds like this relationship is too new.
RockDr Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 WHV is going to be your best bet, then once the relationship officially counts as defacto, she can be added to any futre visas you apply for.
Guest AngelAnn Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Since she is only 24, she can always apply for a working holiday visa, which will allow her to stay in Oz for 12 months, after that you can apply for fiance visa or maybe she can get an employer to sponsor her. Working holiday visas can be applied for online, need very little documentation and usually processed within a week.
