paulswin Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Anyone know what would happen if after you lodge your SS the occupation then becomes not available, I just noticed a thread on here that WA has taken off general electrician, getting panicky now incase my hubbys occ comes off list?
Guest Sue1203 Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Hi ya Can I ask where did you see this thread as my oh is a general electrician and we have SS and our agent advised us that we are now in CAT 2 and never mentioned about General Electrician being taken off.... Thanks S
Guest smithys Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Hi, I think that if you have already got a positive State Sponsorship application back and received from your State you are considered as part of the quota allocated for that period, so those applicants should be OK as it means they have reached thier quota now for that trade. However I do not know how it effects pending applications (ones that have not yet been finalised by the sponsoring State). Thats a grey area and it might mean they will then not accept that trade untill the next quota can be opened. Good luck x
paulswin Posted December 22, 2010 Author Posted December 22, 2010 I saw it on the WA SS thread. Also its now been marked off of the WASMOL list. This means I'm gonna have to keep checking everyday now great!!!
Guest Sue1203 Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Hi ya Have you received SS from them yet??? Have you lodged your application to DIAC??? I have emailed our agent so as soon as I hear anything, I will let you know. There is always something, isn't there!!!! S x:goofy:
paulswin Posted December 22, 2010 Author Posted December 22, 2010 Hello!! My hubbys not an electrician! We've only just lodged our SS! I can't see you having a problem if you've got SS already. Too true I start to get excited as things are moving only to get worried again! I tell myself give pomsinoz a rest what will be - will be but I can only last a few hours before I get withdrawal symptoms lol!!!!
Guest thesalmons Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Hi, my agent lodged my WA sponsorship application early hours of 20th Dec and at that time my occupation (fitter) was available hence my application was lodged ok. Fitter has since been changed to not available and if you try to start a new application under fitter the system will not accept it. My guess is if you were able to lodge your application then you should be ok. I have e mailed my agent to confirm, so once I have an answer I will re post.
