Cedric Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I probably should have started had I seen the title before. Let's put it straight: I am not british. I hope you won't blame me fort that: after all nobody is perfect :biglaugh: As for myself, I am a 34 years old secondary school teacher currently living in Geneva, Switzerland and I intend to start a migration project next july, hopefully by gaining a SS visa. Why? Well, not because I am looking for a better life (I have a good and stable position here), nor because I am dreaming of a life under the sun (I don't like the sun that much and it doesn't like me much either :cute:). Simply, I used to dream about the Antipodes since I was a kid and when I first visit Australia back in 2008, I felt like it was the first place on earth I would feel like calling home. Plus, as a trained, biologist, I am always been fascinated by Australia wildlife and the incredible paths evolution has taken here. Are these good reasons ? Probably not ? Is it rational ? Neither, but love isn't about reason. The reason why I chose to register on this forum is because I did not have the chance to find a french equivalent of that forum. Indeed, what I like about this forum is that, thanks to its contributors, it is full of practical advices and very up-to-date about immigration news. That makes it a very rich source of information which I am glad to take advantage of. Besides, it gives me the occasion to practice my english, and with the perspective of the IELTS test coming ahead, this is priceless :jiggy: So I am looking forward to share stories and information with all of you. In the meantime, I wish you all a merry Christmas and may your dreams come true. Cheers, Cedric

Thank you ausdreamer, I might be wrong, but I believe that Heidi was actually german (although many swiss would like to think that she was actually one of them). I think that there was an article in "the Australian" some time ago on that subject. Nice name anyway, you would have huge success in Japan with it :biglaugh: Merry Christmas to you and your family too !

I don't believe but it is nice saying so. Anyway, to be a real australia, I still would have to master the 100 + words to say "beer" :biglaugh: Merry Christmas to you too and your family.
