reza Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I am about to lodge my 175 application. Can anyone tell me who can certify my documents? Can a lawyer sign my document off? That's very easy if you are uploading scanned copy of original documents no need to certify them
Guest sivakumar Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 That's very easy if you are uploading scanned copy of original documents no need to certify them Can you tell me where it is mentioned at the immi.gov.au website? I wasn't able to find the same, when I looked the website?
Jimm Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I have applied for 176 and i did not certify my documents from anyone as i have uploaded scanned original documents.

Jimm Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Is it mentioned at DIAC's website? Well go ahead if you want to certify your original documents from any one and then scan them and then upload them with your application. Please use a little logic ! how can you certify original documents when you have to just scan and upload them. If you are doubtful about it you can always email DIAC and ask them directly.

However, I will mail DIAC and clarify my quest.

The reason engineers Australia asked you to certify the documents was that you have to send physical photocopies of the original documents which needs to be certified by a notary public or an oath commissioner whereas application for 176 is online and the documents have to be uploaded in digital format.

Thats good, it has saved my time. I don't have to find a guy who does certification for money.
Ozmaniac Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Scanned copies of an original document (non-certified) must be in colour. If you scan documents in black and white, then they must be scanned copies of the certified copies. http://www.immi.gov.au/gateways/agents/pdf/rma-gsm-evisa-applications.pdf This is from instructions to agents that turned up on a search of the DIAC site, but the same will apply to everyone.
