Guest ltripp Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Hello everyone, Am Louann and have been in melbourne for 4 months with my husband and 2 children. We have found it very difficult to settle and have made hardly any friends because of our circumstances. We came here on a international student visa, and have to pay over a 2yrs period $17,000 for my course and nearly $32,000 fpr state schools for the kids! We are already in financial difficulties, as we were lead to believe we could change our visas at later date. However i have spoken to an immigration guy and he reckons i will have to wait till i have finished my 2yr course Diploma in Community Works am hoping to finish it in a year! I have all my famliy here 3 brothers my dad and a sister all citizens of oz, i worked as a community manager in the uk and my husband maufactured windows, doors etc. We really want to stay but running out of money had anyone any suggestions that could help us or contacts we could speak with!! Thank you for your time Louann and Jamie x:goofy:
