How to do fast track to get my TR visa?

:sad: I am studying Professional Year Program which will finish before june 2010. I want to apply PR in under current rule. Last month, I had lodged TR visa.

 

I heared, as per rule, We should have TR visa in our hand before lodge the PR. Is is true? If it is true, how to fast track to get TR visa before june end 2010?

Hey there !

 

A DRC can be sent for a new 485 at the time of application so that ship has already sailed. Perhaps you could explore the idea of withdrawing your existing 485 ... and lodging a new 485 with DRC .... then you get the IELTS score and lodge the PR app. before July 2011 to avoid the apocalypse :cute:

 

Since you lodged TR last month I am guessing that you have completed the course in maybe October or November .... Whats the date of completion on the official letter you got from the uni. Anyways whatever that date is ... you must lodge PR within six months of that date or else wait for TR to be granted.

 

There was a case Benguell or Berenguell where a student submitted English scores after lodging the visa. He won the case against DIAC...

 

Anyways cutting straight to the chase ... ask an RMA if you can send in your English scores after you lodge the visa ...

 

 

Of course I am assuming that IELTS is the only reason you are going through the whole PY circus

If you need you TR asap then follow Jane1991's advice of lodging new 485 with DRC.

Hi Jane 1991, I need your help urgently , I have applied for tr in august and want to apply for PR before July 2011, but in order to do that I should be on tr visa as per now I am on bridging visa , I went to one lawyer and told me that now drc has been finished , is it true? Yes you can. Just today I applied fresh TR 485 from the agent with DRC.:wink:
