Hiya all

Not posted much on here I'm afraid but read lots, anyway thought i would just let you know my position at present, i started my 176 family sponsored visa application back in late April, bearing in mind i am 45 at the end of February 2011, i employed an agent to help me along with my application to ensure it had every possible chance of being lodged before my 45th.The agent has been fantastic and guided me through all the various stages and to be honest i have been amazed at how quickly everything has gone, so much so that my certificate lll in wall and floor tiling was submitted to the TRA on the 1st of December and arrived back positive on the 13th December, this coincided with the release of the WA SS list being released, so, that is the route i am at at present, and just waiting a decision, should the SS not be successful then i will carry on with my 176 family sponsored visa.

All i can say is WOW, it has been a roller coaster ride so far, just keeping my fingers crossed it all stays on track, watch this space and i will keep you all updated should you be interested

Seasons Greetings to everyone

Hiya Jez

Its good to hear everything is moving along for you, i remember waiting for our visa and your sooooo right about it being a rollercoaster ride, lol,, but you hang on tight because once the ride is over and you have recovered to some form of stability you sure can have a great life over here.

Fingers crossed everything else goes to plan for you and merry xmas from down under!

I am so jealous of you WA Jezza. I'm a wall and floor tiler too and just got my TRA back too. We want to go to WA, but I don't have that 7 years experience, so it is either SA SS or the 175 route. Once you're there, please keep us posted on the work situasion in and around Perth!

:daydreaming:

Hi Boesman

Thanks for your reply, good to hear you have got your TRA back, another hurdle over!! If and when i get out to Perth i will certainly keep you posted on the situation. Where in the UK are you from, i guess your preferred destination is Perth too, have you been out there to have a look round?

Keep in touch

Hi guys my oh is a floor finisher and we applied for SS to WA on the 20th Dec hoping we hear back before the new points system kicks in. Hubby is 41 this year but as of July the age limit goes up to 49 but you dont get any points. We're hoping to go to Perth also as both brother-in-laws are there and working as floor finishers and they've got alot of work, kind of annoys me when talking to them as oh work is few and far between at this moment in time!!!!
