Guest spiderman's Mrs
Hi, We applied for our visa's (skilled independant) and were accepted and validated them in 2005, we have had a baby earlier this year and need a visa for her - it looks like we need to process a separate application for her - has anyone done this and any idea on how long the processing time will be ? Thanks
ali
Not done this - but would imagine that as you've already got your visa it wouldn't be too long a wait (a bit like a spouse visa) Ali
Alan Collett
If baby was born outside Australia baby will need a Child visa - processing time likely to be a week or so if lodged in London. Application is relatively straightforward, necessitating full birth certificate, passport ID page, and a medical examination (plus a Visa Application Charge). If baby was born in Australia baby becomes an Australian citizen at birth => no visa required. Maybe have a freebie chat with my colleague Lorraine Beaumont on Southampton (UK) number 023 80 488777. Best regards.
