Guest Farid Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I applied for Partner Visa 820 (Onshore) on march 2009, It has been 21 months now and they still haven't granted me the Temporary Visa 820. There is no problem with the application but my CO said the External Checks taking long and said she can't do anything about it. Can anyone tell me know what to do? and Am i gonna be granted Permenant 801 when 2 years have passed, or do I have to wait as well during the second stage? anyone here know anything please advise me! thanks
Guest Guest31881 Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I believe that if you come from a HR country then the checks that are being carried out will be the authorities in your home country, These take as long as the authorities in your home country decide to take, there is nothing that can be done from this end to speed them up. At least you are onshore and not like some who are off shore and still have to wait months for these checks before they can even plan to come to Australia
Guest TheStig Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Unless your on ENS, most other subclasses are taking a while to get processed now. They have a massive backlog of application dues to the recent changes in the system and a limited number of visas available for this FY. There are some applications waiting since Aug 2008 for their applications to be processed.
Guest Farid Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I spoke to My CO and she said, if 2 years have passed and the check wasn't finalised she can take a decision then regarding the Temporary and even Permenant Visa. It didn't sound right to me ?!! what do you guys think?
