VIC like a detailed CV (I assume it depends on your trade as well?) - I assume they show it to their Industrial Panel... Peoples CVs that were not good enough were usually contacted pretty quickly after submitting the application - so it sounds as if they have someone who goes through the applications soon after submission. On the previous thread people did not hear back related to the date they submitted but rather in groups of occupations. So all the electricians heard one week, all the IT guys the next... Again we assumed it related to the Industrial Panel they use and bringing in experts from different fields on different days Although it says 8-10 weeks on the website - people were hearing anything from 2 days to 20 weeks... (and some even longer). VIC do NOT like you to chase them up too often! One person on here was told not to contact them again after only checking 3 times - and they had been waiting for an answer for many months. VIC do reject some people (it seemed like quite a few compared to other states but this may change now with the SMPs & quotas?) some people were successful in appealing the decision - others not. Hopefully you will hear quickly. I hope they're not too strict with the "applying elsewhere" thing because I've "suppressed" a WA-sponsorship that has been refused in July. Do you know by mistake if they're only allergic to granted sponsorships or don't they like other sponsorships at all?
