Apply for state sponsorship - WA?

Can anyone help????

I would like to emigrate to WA and have noticed they will allow you to do an online application to WA first then through to DIAC.

APPLY FOR STATE SPONSORSHIP

 

The Western Australian Government, through SMC, decides which skilled migrants are eligible for sponsorship under the SIR and STNI visa schemes. The Western Australian Government sponsors skilled migrants on the basis that you have a skill identified as one in demand.

 

Applications can be lodged online. Please note that your skills assessment advice must accompany your application.

 

The SMC will generally notify you within 10 working days if you have been sponsored under the appropriate visa scheme.

 

Has anyone else done this with or without success, please???

We did this but at the same time we had emailed them too, to find out how long the sponsorship lasted.

They have been really helpful and advised us on what visa to apply for etc,as when it came to we didn't have enough post grad work experience for the 137,but told us to do the 134 which they also sponsor for.Once we had sent this application and received a file number they WILL sponsor us..We're still waiting for a file number (but Wa are still keeping in touch).

 

Whilst this is happening though Kevin had a job interview,got the job and we're also having to do a 457 temporary visa (for the job),We did this on-line on the 29th June,got a case officer 2nd July,had medicals and x-rays 3rd July (hopefully sent off next morning).

 

Now we just sat waiting and hoping for the outcome of the 457 really hoping it will be soon.But still waiting for anything to do with the 134 (we posted this 18th May) but still hoping to hear about it soon)
