Hi DCAL thank you for your analysis, I think it is a gret model ;0) would you mind posting the other one based on the last 3 updates as a trend basis - I would be interested to see how this would affect the prediction for me (Dec10).Thank you Jodie xx

This is based on DIAC staying at their current rate which is around 31.5 days processing per update.....so you could say a worst case scenario......

Note: Their is not actual science to this, this is just (as mentioned) based on the last 3 updates.

News from Russian forum:

A guy from Ukraine (175 from 10/01/2011, 18-March letter received) informed DIAC that he had all the 18-3-Letter requirements done and asked about CO allocation. Here's the reply of DIAC:

Dear Client,

Thank you for your email in relation to your visa application under Australia's General Skilled Migration program.

Information about case officer allocation was as estimate only. DIAC currently anticipates assigning a case officer to any unallocated case by 30/9/2011. Your case officer will contact you about any outstanding requirements.

No exactly news, this kind of reply from DIAC has already been quoted here and on other forums.

Not in this thread, mate. But u r right that there is no preference in CO allocation to those received 18-3-Letter.

Well, that response was regarding people, who received the Mar 18th email, which, obviously, means, they applied before Mar 18th (some just a week or two before). I wouldn't say this applies to everyone, like people who lodged their applications after Mar 18th.

OK. We'll see. I think we have to expect some good news from DIAC in the beg-mid of Aug. As per our thread we don't have too much people with CO and no visa, don't you, guys, feel like that&

Ya datz true. Now DIAC have finished upto 10/08/2010. Still they need process 7months only, till 03/2011. Currently they will process around 31.5 days per update...... hence they will clear all the backlog very soon....

So Perth has been reclassified as Regional. I cant understand why DIAC removed the ability to add a state sponsorship to an application. It would make complete sense that if you have applied for 175 or alike that you could in affect add a 'bolt on' to your application which fast tracks or move it up a category rather than having to reapply for a completely new visa. If this was an option I know I would do it and move my plans forward. Given the skills shortages that Oz is having and all the news around this on the above link.
