Spouse visa- stat dec form for us

Recommended Posts

Hi, we need to fill out our statements of how we met and our relationship developed. Is this just a stateement, does it nee dto be witnessed? IS there a specific form? I was thinking 888 but is that more for our friends and family or do we use it too?

Lovely thanks, so just a couple of paragraphs each telling our story basically? Nothing too formal?

Hey k8bug79

Your joint personal statement is just a real life story basically, make sure you include all the nitty gritty! Write it from both parts not just yourself They only ask for more info if they think its lacking, it does not need to be witnessed but you can get it done if you are unsure, I did when i got my parents stat decs done it costs around £5 per copy!

Anything else i can help you with i would be more than willing...its a tough application but worth it :)

We wrote one single joint statement, that amounted to around a page and a half of typed A4 which we then both signed.

Thanks. I drafted a copy last night. How nitty gritty do they want? Our basic story is met when I was 16 had a holiday fling, stayed friends but lost contact met by chance again whilst in a bad marrigae and about to relocate. Relaised there was something there and left hubby a couple of weeks later. New hubby moved down and we moved in and had baby a bit too quick lol :embarrassed: and then got married and another baby.

So I have basically told the details of all that, how relationship with my ex was bad (reasoned that this will show that I will not bail out on my current marriage) how we actually got back together and have emails to show our correspondance at that time. Haven't gone into much details re us, ie affection and socialising as husband works anti social hours so we don't socialise as a couple, we have our respective friends and I feel that it would be a bit tmo to go into intamcaies (Do I need to elaborate along that line) said how I think he is an excellent father to not only his biological children but my eldest daughter. That he is caring etc etc. That we have decided to not have any more children. (mentione his vasectomy as thought his would prove that we ahve made a decision that neither of us want more children and that as such we are unlikely to move onto another relationship, do you think that is too much, irrelevant) Told them about our wedding and honeymoon.

I literally drafted it so it needs a lot of tweaking but is it the right kinda thing?
