Guest Gollywobbler Posted June 9, 2010 Hi George Thanks very much for the information above. The increase in the 2nd Instalment for CPVs is $3635 per parent according to Excel. That is a steep hike in fees at a time when the Aussie dollar is strong against most other currencies and is likely to remain so. I don't know whether the increase is 10.6%. The AGA recommends an increase of this amount in the 2010-2011 Composite Index: Calculation of Contributory Parent Visa Composite Index for 2010/11 — Australian Government Actuary My command of maths really doesn't go above 2 + 2 so I can't understand a word of the Composite index and I don't know how to get the % differential between $34,330 and $37, 965. If isn't exactly 10.6% it must be somewhere thereabouts, I imagine? This is where I rely on someone like Alan Collett of Go Matilda to tell me what the percentage increase is and to make the maths simple enough for a twit like me to understand it. George Lombard 1,738 Posted June 9, 2010 Hi Gill, It's 10.58% I think. Multiplied by two (in the case where there are two applicants) and you've got 7000 reasons to lodge your contributory parent visa application before 1 July.
