Hello everyone,

 

Im coming up to the end of my undergraduate degree in the uk and was thinking about doing a postgraduate course in Australia. Im an Australia citizen and passport holder as my family were granted citizenship when we lived in Perth when i was young. Ive lived in the uk since and it must be about 19-20 years ago we were there. So I basically would like to know if it differs from the uk in regard to what funding is available to me with regards to loans for postgraduate study.

They have a scheme called fee-help which gives funding for studies if you have pr or citizenship.

I think I read somewhere that the money is mainly for postgrad. I am hoping to do a postgrad course in Perth - however I'll have to pay :sad:

There are scholarships but generally you have to fund your own education. There are centrelink payments which you may be eligible for as a citizen Studying or Training and also http://www.goingtouni.gov.au/Main/Quickfind/PayingForYourStudiesHELPLoans/HECSHELP.htm
