We have agreed to sell our house to a Brit married to an Australian who are coming to UK to live. Has anyone any experience of this,either buyer or seller and if so were there any difficulties exoerienced? Did you have to be in UK before contarct of sale could be signed? Thanks in advance Hi there I'm british and my husband is aussie and we moved out here only 4 months ago- we are now planning on returning back to good old blighty at the end of the year We have secured an expat mortgage as we have seen a house back home we want to buy ready for our return. We will be conducting everything online and over the phone-all paperwork will be witnessed by an official here (presumably- we haven't got that far yet) and scanned in to be sent to our UK solicitor there. If you have a good solicitor it shouldn't make a difference where your buyer is-believe me there are lots of Brits in Oz desperate to return home and securing a property before they leave gives them a sense of security- see your solicitor who is doing your conveyancing if you are concerened. :biggrin: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
