Guest tony&dee Posted April 25, 2010 Could anyone tell us what information the schools in Perth would require from our old schools in England, we have two girls at high school and one at primary.

ErmintrudeMcMoo 1,180 Posted April 25, 2010 At our school we normally ask for the last school report, however if the student is going in to Yr11 or 12 then the more info/reports the better. We also ask to see birth cert,or passport (sometimes both depending on your visa type), proof of address (rental agreement, bill, drivers license etc) and immunisation record (if they haven`t had the MMR at 12 months and 4 yrs - or provided evidence that they`ve had it - then should there be an outbreak in the school your child would be excluded until it was over). The people who reach the top of the tree, are only those who haven`t got the qualifications to detain them at the bottom. Peter Ustinov
ali 16,190 Posted April 25, 2010 I took reports, and my sons teacher did a folder with the curriculum and some of his work (primary) - to be honest I'm not sure they even looked at them. I just want PIO to be a happy place where people are nice to each other and unicorns poop rainbows
Quoll 5,244 Posted April 26, 2010 Usually proof of visa status, proof of date of birth, evidence of permanent residence in the schools's catchment area and vaccination certificate. I doubt they will really want anything else although they may smile sweetly and say thank you if you offer school reports etc then put them in a folder never to be seen again. Only exception being if you are wanting RPL for post year 10 studies in which case they will want course assessments. Other exception, if your kids have a disability then they will want every piece of paper under the sun including all psychometric and therapeutic assessments, IEPs, letters of diagnosis etc
