Guest Nick-ASA Posted June 7, 2007 Hi there School certs (e.g. GCSEs) are not needed. Make sure all of your certs are certified copies, not originals. "How do you improve your English language", now there's a question IF you think that you will not get things done in time for 1st Sept and IELTS, then have a look at http://www.ielts.org and try to find some relevant info on the test - all should be easy apart from maybe the reading section could be *slightly* tricky, maybe. On question 8 - be as detailed as possible! No detail is too much detail Cheers Nick australia-migration.com
Guest samlisinlove Posted June 7, 2007 hi thanks for that nick, i am prob being silly but i meant to say how do you prove your english langune? do i have to do a test of somesort and send it off sorry if im being dumb!!! thanks lisa
Guest kimdownie Posted June 7, 2007 Hi there Sam, You dont need to prove you are english if you have a british passport, according to either tom collett or welshstone (sorry cant remember which), I am sure you can do the IELTS test if you wish to get extra points but it is not necessary. As far as question 8 is concerned Just make sure it is as detailed as possible, YOU MUST break every individual job you do right down into minute detail...even as far as what bowl you use to mix your chemicals and what tools you use to mix and apply colours etc. You can not provide too much so give them total over kill. I would also take copies of college notes and your training records, as they ask at the bottom of each section in bold writing for you to provide evidence of training, and certificates on their own probably wont be enough. GIVE THEM OVERKILL OF INFORMATION good luck Kim

Guest Nicki Kefford Posted June 9, 2007 Hi Lisa. Fellow hairdresser here. Kim is right, put down everything you do that proves you are a hairdresser and you know what you're talking about. The more info and certificates, training, comps etc the better. Also make a list of all th techniques you do and what you use to carry them out - tools, equipment, products etc, even down to sweeping the floor, barbicide, UV cabinet, etc.!!! Don't forget to make sure all your certs are certified copies too. Any more help, let me know. By the way, where are you heading for? Nicki :wubclub:

Guest kimdownie Posted June 11, 2007 Hi there, If you are sending copies of everything, you only need to have the official documents certified, eg certificates and references, but not all documentation needs to be certified eg college notes and course work. they can all be paper clipped together as additional information. kim

Guest kimdownie Posted June 11, 2007 If you have enough original copies, sending the original will be fine. I would make sure you keep at least one of each original to take to oz with you. We sent originals and ours was fine. kim
