Guest jooby
Just an addition to other comments, when we moved to Perth (after a year in sydney from UK) my daughter went up two years at school (eventually finishing year 12 age 16). It's worthwhile getting the school to look at your child's abilities and level of schooling and putting them into the appropriate ability level as well as age as the system is different (kids in oz usually start school at a later age). Not everyone is the same but my daughter did really well with older peers and was glad she didn't have to go back over things she had already learnt, both in sydney and Uk. Not saying WA education system is behind but just that every state is different and every student is an indvidual.
