Guest tramway Posted January 29, 2010 Hi all, Has anybody had a quote for a sole 20ft but you can put what you want in??? We thought all long that Groupage was as it is shared and certain quantity but only realised this week when started getting the quotes in that they actually state too how much eg 700 cu ft in sole 20ft and if we put more in it will cost us more even though we have sole use? Whats the point in getting a sole container if there is a limit . You could end up with it only 2/3 rds full !!!!!!!! Doesn't sound right to me.:eek: Melanie x I know sounds like a right rip off but had 6 quotes just for comparison purposes and they all have a specific volume quoted for the sole use along with the Groupage quote. Only diff is whether we take our 3 & 2 seaters which put it up 100 cu ft so around 700 cu ft so they all then said this can't be Groupage has to be Sole but can't add to full 1000 cu ft capacity without costing more. Getting quotes of £3600 for Sole 20ft with 700 cu ft capacity. And the average Groupage price just for bringing sofas puts the price up around £800 which seems even more of a rip off. Guest jbro31 Posted January 30, 2010 Be very careful as they will shaft you big style, we used PSS and got quoted on sole 20th with a max like yourselves, they actually compeletely screwed our quote up as we had 20ft container and a half!!! So what started as a £3200 quote ended up costing us £5K and we had no choice about it, had we just had a 40ft container wouldnt of been a problem nor half the stress which was hideous! It is a very stressful time at the best of times so just make sure you read all the small print and they do a proper quote for your stuff.... good luck which whoever you choose and just think about the end result of having your home in Oz, it will be worth it in the end....
