Its not bad,but "old peculiar" is the best by far!!! imo of course:biggrin:

No it doesnt! believe me,i know about these things,check out the different colours?

Much darker and tastes more like a stout than hobgolin,try it!!!!!:tongue:

Drank loads of Theakstons old peculiar and prefer it on draught than in the bottle which IMO is far supriour, very nice ale..

This is a serious post mate about beer and ale...

Also most of these beers are brewed under licence in the Country you get them in and taste nothing like the original.

Spitfire or Belgium Duvel for me -)

 

Spitfire is nice but after a couple of bottles it kind of tastes not so nice,,,headache drink as well.

Duvell is about 7% to 9% and blows your head off:biggrin:

Having been a beer drinker all over the world for longer than I would like, I would certainly rate Banks's bitter from the UK Midlands(Wolverhampton?).

Try any of the small pubs around places like Kidderminster,Bewdley and Stourport and anywhere north to Wolverhampton.

Best i ever tasted was in the Belgian Bar in Brisbane about 4 months ago.Can't remember what it was called,but it came in a giant wine glass.Betcha someone from Brissy could tell us!Any'ow it was pure,unadulterated Nectar of the God's,so good you could'nt drink it fast,even if you wanted to.Love Jennings Bitter also,and Old Fart.:wink:

i agree with T Taylor......Boddingtons, Flowers, Pedigree Marstons ,...............i have the odd Boddies when im flush as its $80 for 24 tins........goes down tooooo quick tho.......
