Heard an advert telling me to buy an article as 45% off. Off what? They never say, could be 45% off for a bag of marbles. So we don’t know what the original price is And, they say to save a HUGE 15 cents off an article than on another advert, tell you that you only pay a small $125. The mind boggles at the ways and distances to sell an article. Christmas and the other family do’s are a stupidly insane time I saw an advert for Mothers’ Day where it said Mum would just live this diamond ring at $227.50. I wonder how a child is going to buy that. On the never-never? BAH HUMBUG! Seems to me that the advertisers have lost the real meaning of Christmas and other family times. Cheers, Bobj People have been lying since Delilah told Samson, "I think you'll look much better with a crew-cut". After all, it was the good voting public of the UK who pulled the real rabbit out of the hat in terms of making the country look a laughing stock. Brexit wasn't the only thing the great British public voted on in 2016. They also voted to name the new Antarctic research ship "Boaty McBoatface". The British voter likes to have a good laugh. For some inexplicable reason the country's elected government decided to be the grown up and took the undemocratic path on that occasion. It had a hell of a lot more than that before Brown sold a huge hoard of it off. At a low price that just looks profoundly stupid in light of how the price of gold has gone in the last 23 years. 5 Software Engineer by trade. Gardener by heart. Austerity was a ridiculous policy. Just as bad as Liz Truss, but in the opposite way. In fact, if Truss and Cameron had switched roles the UK would be in a much better state. Completely incompetent. Well someone had to pay for that £500 billion bank bail-out, and heaven forbid if it had been a whole bunch of rich people who'd caused the GFC in the first place. As soon as the Tories got back in power I realized public sector workers were going to be in for a raw deal, and it was one of the reasons why I returned to Australia in 2011. You spend your way out of a recession. The USA was a textbook case of how to emerge from a gfc. Total collapse of the economy and banking system is never a good plan. You don't cut spending in a recession. You don't make tax cuts during a boom. Edited November 19 by Blue Manna

They have as much blood on their hands as the Israelis. I'm not saying the Israelis aren't guilty of genocide. Obviously they are. But Hamas leadership are billionaires living it up in Qatar laughing as every shell hits a Palestinian child. They wanted this. They wanted to make martyrs out of the Palestinians. They want the world's sympathy. And of course we are all guilty for letting things get so bad that Hamas saw this as a reasonable thing to do.
