I'd classify myself as a leftie and so are most of my friends, none of us could ever stand the man. I'm not entirely surprised.

Isn't it a lie because it is in a Murdoch paper?

Lefties are not the sharpest tools in the shed as a general observation.

That seems to contradict the common expression, "Leftist intellectuals".   You never hear anyone referring to "Rightist intellectuals". There might be a reason for that.

RIP to the wonderful man Ron Barassi. Simply the best and a wonderful man.

Most of the people on here will have never even heard of this man.

Russell Brand, leftie luvie, is a sexual abuser. Who would have guessed?

I can never understand why these women who state they were sexually abused didn't go straight to the police when it happened.  Why wait years?

According to the lefties he meets the definition of a rapist. He's a man.

I don't know much about him apart from the headlines when he married Katy Perry.  Always wondered what the heck she saw in him.  No accounting for taste.  No wonder she gave him the flick.

It takes time to decided that consenting to sex was a mistake, and more time to decide that it was his mistake.

I've just heard him being interviewed.  He claims he was VERY promiscuous in the past and that all his sexual encounters were consensual   ..............  well he would, wouldn't he?   I suppose there will be loads more women coming forward with sordid tales of his behaviour.   His poor wife  ........... though I dare say she knew what he was like before she married him.

Who are these "lefties"?  What's the definition?

You've heard the saying, "The squeaky wheel gets the oil".   There is a VERY SMALL minority of women who espouse the idea that "all men are rapists".  The media love them because they love anything extreme, so they get lots of media attention.   Like most minorities, they're extremely active on social media and do a lot of yelling and screaming about their cause. Most women do not agree.

He has recently been  very vocal on COVID and vaccines. Also seems to have Biden summed up well.  Could be that.  🤔

@Blue Manna do you realize your comment is libellous? He could sue you for damaging his brand, to excuse the pun.

I can't stand the fellow either, but being accused of a crime doesn't make anyone guilty. Genuine victims of assault need to be supported and protected, but then so do the alleged perpetrators until they are formally charged. Look how many lives and careers have already been ruined by false accusations of this nature.

Also don't hear "looney righties" either.

In many cases they do, but it's just an allegation without evidence and are likely to be treated with scepticism when the person is a celebrity.

Whatever went on, trial by Dispatches (utter turds imo) and the Daily Mail is hardly appropriate.  Go to the police, report it and get it dealt with properly.

There’s been allegations of historic assault.  It’s unfair to comment as if he’s guilty of the crime.   Best to be fair and wait and see what the outcome is first.  Imagine if someone close to you had allegations made against them and immediately everyone saw them as guilty.  We’ve seen the devastation this has had on many people.

I wonder if many of you said the same things about Kevin Spacey when allegations surfaced about him.

He has since been cleared of all criminal charges brought against him
