My viewpoint based on what I’ve seen and experienced here and there. The vape epidemic is also very disturbing. My heart bleeds after we all but eliminated cigarette smoking. Some asshole comes up with candy flavour vapes. It’s immoral. Don't know pensioners and older people, (retirees) young couples with a baby, families with older kids cooking Ice never a good look. Again I refer to the greed not those addicted. A 'methed' up family is a messed up family. In morals and integrity at the very least. Sad to witness so many migrants in on it. It doesn't help that Australians are the highest recreational drug users in the world. Not all is reported. Not by far. In fact this thread is aptly named, "I know no one will care" Unless of course you have a relative or loved one addicted to the grub drug methamphetamine. Or as in my case, your partner has come close to a crack head going through a red light and coming close to cleaning her up. Or indeed having to endure almost a home invasion at three in the morning , after requesting crack heads (and manufacturers ) to please keep the noise down. No support tendered by usual expected sources. Could go on but you'll get the jest. Amphetamine was a big thing when I was there. The brickies and concrete workers (mainly) would use it to get as many shifts in as they could. Same in the mines. I stayed in dongers a couple of times in moranbah qld and it was rife. Just so they could get the shifts in.

Some of these people are absolutely wretched with very little hope of getting help. Who are we to judge their choices? I understand not wanting to enable though. That goes along the lines of people having a free choice to take drugs or not. It helps the conscious of the person making such an utterance of course. The reality is addiction to a grub drug like methamphetamine doesn't solely impact on the individual. It reverberates within society. From the mental health outcomes, to the violence often ensuring, to the traffic fatalities impacting innocent people, to the costs of prison, corruption, declining morals, impact on children, domestic violence and so on. Those engaged in the methamphetamine to which I know a few, often cite the impacts of alcohol as being as bad, even worse. What should be considered though, to which I tell them, is that alcohol is a social lubrication in the right setting. It is legal and as for abuse being greater, well obviously. Far, far more engage in it. Where it is a problem it needs to be equally addressed. Meth should be legalised to take it out of the hands of the cartels. It corrupts far too many people in the process. I am not a moralist in the true sense . I don't like to give cash but have done a few occasions when a person was honest enough that they wanted it for alcohol. I would not give it for the smoking of a crack pipe though. Not only far more in use, but far more' democratised ' as well would be a term I would use for it. A youngish 'lady; speaking about this a few weeks back seemed to be of the opinion with/if meth labs in my street I somehow would be more protected from crime. Odd thinking. reflecting back on what have experienced around that matter. But she also stated, that finally ordinary people have a chance to make some good money. Which is the crux of the issue. Why go to a work place at all?

The media did their best to erase it in both in the UK and Australia, but they know that censorship is an attack on free speech so they couldn't ignore it completely. It must've been relief that another celebrity died at the same time so they could dredge up numerous articles about her career, which ended long before Rolf Harris's. 1 Australian Citizen since 2007 | Returned to the UK 2008-2011 | Lived in Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns. Was mentioned a fair bit in the UK press and on the news, and ITV is running frequent trailers of a drama/docu about his conviction. It certainly wasn't ignored over here. But yeah vaping is massive, half the kids seem to be doing it on their way to school and the nicotine content in those disposable ones is quite high. They used to grow it in QLD when I lived there. I tried it once, as was still a smoker at the time. Not good , not good at all. I can only suppose the taste varies according to grower and added content.

Probably most similar 'normal' tobacco equivalent in Australia would be the rolling tobacco White OX. (I believe popular in prisons as cheap)

In Australia it is generally packets of cigarettes smuggled in from China or similar countries. No health warnings and usually about $20 a packet instead of $50. Lots of Asian shops will sell it under the counter to regulars. Vapes will end up the same way soon. Edited May 26 by Parley 2 Buy a man eat fish. The Day, Teach Man, to lifetime. - Joe Biden.
