Australia must truly be the lucky country.

You can go from poor to rich if you work for it.

This is the case in most modern capitalist countries.

My son has his first 'proper' girlfriend/relationship. I'm so happy for him. A milestone, he's growing up and will soon be independent...

Can't believe in the UK that raw sewage is being dumped into the sea.

Looks totally disgusting.

Been there. Done that. Spent the whole of Christmas with my butt cheeks clamped together trying not to fart that I was starting to get bum cramps.

Are you going to get more?

I'm at the same level as you and with winter approaching, I'm considering another booster..

Yes, the weird looking jock . "A good heart is hard to find".

He has been an activist for many years.  Clean water is a worthy cause and I back him on this.  Shame he's a remoaner.

That's always a relief when a son says to his parents "mum, dad, I've met a GIRL".

If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place...

If you get a chance, take it, If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy they just said it would be worth it...

Yes that's him.  He's a fly fisherman and has campaigned against the pollution of rivers and the regulations of the water industry which impact British water resources.

A huge relief. I was very relived my boys weren't secretly dressing up in drag in their bedrooms.

Both have partners too. Bitter sweet I suppose in that they are growing up.

Sadly my daughter at 28 is still single and hasn't met that special someone yet. I think it is affecting her life is not as she would have expected it to be by now.

Better to wait for the right one to come along.

Hope you are feeling a lot better @calNgary.

I recently had the flu jab and next month I'll have the Covid jab.  That will be the 5th.  Probably have one every year same as the flu one.

Not for me to give you advice, but please do your research before getting any more jabs. You too @Toots

I had my 5th Pfizer jab and the flu shot on the same day, about 3 weeks ago. One in each arm.

I had a reaction, the first time i have had more than a sore arm.

2 nights later i went to bed as normal. In the morning i woke with a painful lump around my lower neck below adam's apple. From googling i think what happens is i still had anitbodies from previous covd vaccination and they swang into action after i got the latest vaccination. The lump gradually went away but took about a week to 10 days to totally disappear.

In future i will wait a year between vaccinations.

My younger lad used apply my lippy and drape himself in necklaces/scarves and shuffle around in my shoes when he was a nipper.  I never thought anything of it.  He also had a wee pal down the street (Laura) and he would happily go off to play with her Barbies.  He outgrew all that by the time he was 4 or 5 and became a right little ruffian into all sorts of boy things.  I do have a couple of photos of him in his girly regalia just to remind him of that period in his life.  I think a lot of little boys go through that sort of thing.  It's quite normal.  He's had the same lovely girlfriend for 10 years.  No sign of getting married as yet.

Of course it's normal. Unfortunately kids that do that kind of thing today are given gender affirmation therapy.

My oldest. Now 18 (with girlfriend)

As it’s 6 months since I had covid I asked my Dr if he recommended I had the latest jab. my 5th, and I am in my 70’s.  He is a very respected experienced Dr, and has been known to be honest about other matters and sometimes say I advise yes, but it’s your decision.

His said he absolutely recommend i have it, the new jab covers the newer strains of covid, and make sure it’s the bio (sorry can’t remember the next word) one. Booked in next week.
