I know no one will care but...........

I just watched I'm thinking of ending things.

If only they hadn't thought of starting it. What a load of pretentious crap.

Agreed! Wasted my Sunday night. Trouble is, when you start watching one of these "artistically praiseworthy" and self indulgent pieces of "art" you have to keep watching in the hope that you'll finally "get it" I must be thick as I didn't.

Actually I thought Jessie Buckley was brilliant, and the first half was pretty good. But then the dancing scene, and then the old naked bloke with the pig? Sweet Jesus, what were they thinking?

I have just watched the film ‘The Butler’ what a powerful film. I’m not going into the politics, it’s based on a true story but it is a reminder of the bias of those days. I’m purposely keeping the content light, as I don’t want to start anything.

Get this"!!  I was straight up asked by a colleague and who I thought was a good friend - if i was going for this job, i replied "i might 😉 "  He then, with a straight face said " I know you can do the job but don't think you should apply" when i asked why his answer was because in the 2 other roles already filled at this position we have 1x woman (white) and 1x man (white).  He said he thinks he should be promoted into the role because he is black and asked me not to apply.  I was speechless, this person is senior to me and is currently on disciplinary for non performance!!  There was no sense of irony.  I was waiting for the "I'm just kidding!" but there was none.

I sent my application in shortly after.  The neck on him!!!

No matter what colour his skin is, he's not fit for the job on offer if he is currently on disciplinary for non performance.

Yes she was, and she's cute too 🙂 As much as I can figure out it's all about the janitor and his lonely existence and lack of achievement, the couple being an extension of himself as he thinks he could have been with particular emphasis on wasted intelligence............................I could be way off mark though and likely am.

Maybe they should do a swap.

Julian Assange for the diplomat's wife who killed that teen last year.

She still lived to 82. Not too bad.

Not very well for the last few decades if you look at her medical history.

Have you anything planned? I’d love to travel down the West coast.

If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace you are living in the present.

My son went off to work on a cattle station. 200km on dirt roads, he got lost in the outback along the way and caused a panic with his new boss. Thankfully he has a gps locator so I could find him on the map and pinpoint his location. It was expensive to buy when we don’t have the money but already it’s saved his life so I’m happy.  Today he did 20km of fencing.

People don’t realise how hot and remote the outback is. I know he didn’t believe me when I told him but I had to let him go and find out for himself. Kids always think they know better 🥺😢

Just the usual, down to our block in the van for a week. Love to be there in the Spring. Can't wait. Meeting with a few builders while there this time to see if we can get the ball rolling.

I heard on the news this morning that on average 800 people die in Australia each year from the flu.  This winter only 25 died.  I don't know of anybody who had flu here and nobody I know even had a cold.  Social distancing seems to work.

Exactly. Far fewer winter bugs going round. We can all be healthier if we just adopt a few sensible practices.

A few years ago the bridge club I go to put hand sanitiser out with a real drive for everyone to use it. There was quite a reduction in the amount of bugs that people caught. Clubs are very very strict now, temperatures taken hand sanitiser at every table, plus swipes to wipe the boards and table down at every change, and no socialising.

Sad it has taken an epidemic for people to use their  common sense to use sensible health precautions that we should all have been doing anyway.

Remember that person who selfishly coughed and sneezing all over you. Let’s hope that has changed forever, and people have learnt to keep their germs to themselves.

Sadly not. My husband's manager coughed and sneezed all over him and he got sick, bringing it back to our home. My son's teacher was working while obviously unwell and only last week my manager came to work without a voice and a sore throat. Selfish and irresponsible.

That’s disgraceful, even if your state has almost no cases. What is wrong with people.

I really don't get how some people think it's acceptable to be sick at work. I guess maybe some people don't get sick pay. Last time I saw my oncologist he had a stinking cold. Of all people, he should know.

Maybe post covid people will think twice. It might just be a cold for you. For some people it's not. I'm not just talking covid. My mum had a chronic chest complaint. And still family members meet her when they are unwell.

People just don't think.

@Johndoe did you get your scan? Feeling any better?

Yes. What a long winded job! Thanks for asking. See GP tomorrow for the results. Still can't do much and am alright just lazing around but as soon as I do anything strenuous I feel "pressure" on my lower abdomen and back and breathlesness. "Pressure" is the only way I can describe it really as if something is squeezing me accompanied with a burning sensation. First attack was 2 days after angiogram and I put it down to that, having to put the dog down the day before, and Josh going into the navy that same day. First thought was a panic/anxiety attack as I do worry as to how Jake will manage on his own if anything happens to me. Roll on tomorrow arvo so I can lay it to rest.
