No P & W personnel to supervise!

4 years ago, there were 5 local volunteer firies and 2 P&W personnel

When we moved here 20 years ago, we received a notice declaring that the P & W would do a patrolled burn-off every winter...This is only the second...

Cheers, Bobj.

Have not heard of any developments.

The owner, Garth, used to have a Friday $5 meals and it was for the locals and guests, but he  stopped the cheap meals because a tourist thought Garth was a tourist and proceeded to tell Garth how to get free meals.

Cheers, Bobj.

Love flathead. Cobbler is not bad either.

It actually tastes similar to jellied eels, without the vile jelly of course.

I'm sure I had sole from a chippy in brissy once.. maybe the saw the pommy coming and said "hey Bruce, give the pom some of that bottom feeding sh!t, he'll never know"

Anyway, anything that dry and covered in breadcrumbs tastes the same.

No idea about the taste of basa. It is Vietnamese catfish...Says it all really.

If you want a top notch fish, the Westralian DHU fish is the best, even better than coral trout. Anothery; king george whiting.

Cheers, Bobj.

Basa tastes alright, but it is cheap and farmed in Vietnam and god only knows what they feed them on. I'd rather pay a bit more and know what you are eating.

You do know where Basa comes from?  I’d look elsewhere

Sewers..  I saw a docco on TV where a scientist analysed Basa, and reported it wasn’t fit for human consumption

A friend in NSW has just adopted this little dog.  She is called Goldie.  She's 11 years old and the RSPCA got her out of a puppy farm where the poor little thing had been having one litter of pups after another for years.  She had been shut up in a cage and never had a run on grass.  In spite of this my friend says she's a lovely natured little thing and very affectionate and trusting.  She is now enjoying life.  She had an ulcerated eye but it's much better now.
